Public Safety Organization for New England’s G.L.B.T. Community

New England G.O.A.L. is your only local G.L.B.T. public safety organization in the New England area. We are a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt social community organization that functions as a support group for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender sworn public safety officers as well as civilian employees of federal, state, and local agencies. It is the goal of our organization to not only provide public safety training to communities, but to also help public officers in need of support.

An Important Part of Our Community

Since first forming in 1991, our social community organization has been welcoming police officers, corrections officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and military personnel from the federal, state, local, and university levels. It was the mission of our nonprofit organization to ensure that these individuals had a place to go when they needed support so that they could continue to perform their duties to the best of their abilities. As we continued to grow, our purpose also began to expand to provide helpful, compassionate public safety training to not just our members and the members of the first responder and related communities, but also to the private individuals our first responders work hard to protect on a daily basis. Over the years our numbers have grown upwards of 250 men and women and we look forward to working with you to achieve our mission of creating safer spaces for everyone across the New England area.

Specialized Peer Support

There are many obstacles that G.L.B.T. individuals face in their lives. These obstacles can be magnified when they are working as first responders. It is one of the main goals of our social community organization to ensure that people are able to receive the peer support they need through our group support programs. These programs let our members express themselves and share their knowledge and experience with others so that everyone can learn from it and find solutions for the challenges and obstacles they may face in their own lives. Are you interested in learning more about supporting our nonprofit organization or about becoming a member Then please feel free to speak to one of our friendly and helpful members today.
